The GPU has collected the pairings, apparantly it had a Y2GREEK malfunction! Ooh, this year is going to be tough, has there ever been a 13-way tie for first? I think that's what we are facing this year, what will Greek Week SteerCo do? They are all pretty great, though, I'm sure they'll just make 13 plaques! Without further adu...
Alpha Phi: ATO - The alpha in their name isn't the only thing they share, also a strong committment to winning and recruiting great individuals!
KKG:Farmhouse: Despite not sharing a letter, they share a great bond in how much they like each other...and winning! Kappa's strength in dancing goes well with the fine Farmhouse men's appreciation of the arts. Ever get a Farmhouse man started on impressionism? Haha, just kidding, I love your interests!
ADPi: Phi Kap: OO boy, this one will be TOUGH. They also don't share any letters, but I think they can overcome this. I've spoken to a number of ADPis, they are very excited. Sometimes excitement can lead to extra motivation. Girls lack testosterone, so excitement is VERY important! Phi Kaps have also been talking confidently, they feel they've grown as men internally and externally, LOOK OUT!
Theta: DU - Our GPU predicted DU to win with all thirteen sororities, but Theta is almost as good as working with all thirteen sororities. Boy that would be a dream, huh! Theta are all very smart but also VERY fun! This will work well with DU, who have been said to have love Cookies. This is also tough. DU have been seen to be practicing sport with many different types of sport balls on their front lawn. This type of practice leads to development in these respective sports. YIKES, this is gonna be COMPETITIVE!
DG: KA: Delta Gamma. Kappa Alpha Order. These two strike intimidation when pieced together. They are like the black and white cookie. DG is said to enjoy road trips, but are TAKING OFF doing a road trip this semester to put extra work in refining their strengths with the gentleman of KA. It has been said KA's new pledge class are very interested in Blazer fashion. I, for one, am looking forward to that influence in their costumes for Fling! (I've heard fling will be great!).
KD: GuyPhi: FUCKING GUY PHI. KD is wonderful though. If giving blood really does save lives, then surely KD has saved many lives. KD's strength is their wonderful banners. I love their banners. Many accidents have been caused by people staring at KD's banners and rear ending cars in front of them on rollins! This happened recently, but both resolved the issue very politely. Sig Ep is with this pairing, their flexibility is at its peak. Cirque de Soleil is possible for their skit, that would be very entertaining.
Zeta: AgSig: Sig Chi : Ag Sig and Sig Chi share Sigmas...they will work very well together. Ag Sig is a group of men that say NO to saying Let's Quit!, and so they don't back down. ZTA is said to be very intent on winning. A couple of girls put together a calender that each day has an inspirational quote. Surely this can lead to a very dangerous quadrad.
Pi Phi: Beta: Pi's v. WORLD. Beta is very excited for this greek week, some Beta's have been heard to call Greek Week "Christmas in April". On Christmas I'm very excited and find energy from the depths of my soul. So that mindset is an asset to their pairing. Pi Phi's are very great and took our little halloween prank on them very well. Mark Twain once said: "Pi Beta Phi is going to win Greek week, boy." He was very racist back then! But the words ring true! They will be very competitive!
Chi O: Lambda Chi: CHI OOOOOOO YEAH. These houses both share a CHi and also a lot of talent. Chi O girls have been looking at new ways to prepare food to maximize the amount of energy. Lamda Chi's have been soul searching, and have really found some great meditation techniques that maximize endurance. Nutrition and Meditiation? GREEK TOWN SURRENDERS! haha. Both of these houses agree, "Man, I'm excited for Greek Week!".
AChiO: Phi Delt - What more can be said about these two power houses? I can already hear the rumbling from jesse from the amount of noise this pairing will make at announcements. ACHIO says of their new skit director, Terri, "She is funny, but not in a pretentious way, she brings the best of Mel Brooks but with the smarts of Samuel Beckett." Phi Delt has been seen doing calf lifts. Surely their extra vertical jump can maybe leap them to first place?
Tri Delt: AKL - wheeeewww. AKL is looking forward to putting all their hardwork to fruition in the form of greek week. Coming off moral victories in Homecoming, it is said they are ready for a takeover of Greektown. Tri Delt is more than on board. The ladies of Delta Delta Delta have been seen practicing double dutch for extra endurance and coordination. As a practice, Tri Delts are now carrying footballs with them everywhere, and AKLs upon seeing them will try and knock the ball loose. Damn, that's some hardcore shit!
GPhi: Pike - Sure, Pike Is coming off of a homecoming victory, but word around Gphi is they are coming off some very informative and smooth chapters. There is no telling how much a functional chapter can lend itself to a dominant Greek Week force. Pikes have been seen doing that trick where you stand in a door way and press your arms against the door, and then do it for a minute, and then when you walk out of the door way, your arms lift automatically!!!! That might just be for fun though. They don't have shared letters, though.
Phi Mu: AgRho - INTERESTING pairing. Phi Mu's have wanted AgRho for years because, lets face it, they are a perfect match. Both have humble personalities that leads to great teamwork. I was once on a team with a Phi Mu, and I said, "You are playing very well!" She merely responded "Am I?" She didn't even know how well she was playing!!! AgRho has been said to have been watching the video "Pure Payton" for inspiration. Will that pay off on the football field? Two words. Ladainian Tomlinson.
Okay, so, who will win? Well, the important thing is nobody loses, because Greek Week is the BEST THING EVER. It's the reason why I breathe. But my early prediction: AXO Phi Delt. Too tough.
